MEDICAL BOARDS HOAX TELEPHONE CALL WARNING

Please be advised that the Medical Council has been informed that other State and Territory Medical Boards and Councils have been notified by members of the public that they have been contacted by a person claiming to represent the Medical Board and asking them to disclose personal information.

Should you receive calls of a similar nature, we advise you not to provide your name, address details, or respond to any personal questions from anyone who claims that they are acting on behalf of the Medical Council, prior to receiving confirmation of their identity. This may be done by contacting Council directly on 03 6233 5499 if you are concerned.
